Privacy Policy
Effective August 20, 2026
PageBell uses the information you provide to preview and monitor public webpages, send service emails, operate your account, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PageBell ("PageBell," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use the PageBell website, webpage monitoring service, account features, and related emails (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Preview and monitor details: the public webpage URL, the email address that should receive notifications, and your description of the content you want PageBell to monitor.
- Account information: your email address, verification status, and account creation and update times.
- Support communications: information you send when you contact us for help, privacy requests, or feedback.
- Billing information: subscription status, plan, transaction identifiers, and limited customer or billing details made available by our payment provider if you purchase a subscription. PageBell does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Information created when the Service runs
- Page titles, final URLs, extracted values, source links, publication dates, and other evidence needed to provide a preview or determine whether monitored content changed.
- Monitor configuration and status, check times, change fingerprints, observed values, delivery identifiers, failure codes, and other operational records.
- Basic technical and security information, such as IP address, request time, requested page, and browser or device information that may appear in server logs. For login rate limiting, a one-way derived request identifier is stored instead of the raw IP address in the authentication database.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- retrieve and analyze the public webpage you submit;
- create a one-time preview and run activated monitors;
- send previews, sign-in codes, change alerts, and service notices;
- authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
- manage subscriptions, payments, refunds, and customer support;
- prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and secure the Service;
- improve reliability and understand aggregate service usage; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
4. Webpage content and AI processing
To identify the information you asked PageBell to monitor, we may send your monitoring instruction, the submitted page URL, the page title, and relevant publicly available page text to our AI processing provider, currently DeepSeek. Your PageBell account email address is not included in that AI extraction request.
Only submit public webpages and monitoring instructions that you are authorized to use. Do not use PageBell to submit private, highly sensitive, or access-restricted information.
5. When we disclose information
We may disclose information to the following recipients:
- Resend, which receives the recipient address and email content needed to deliver PageBell emails.
- DeepSeek, which processes the monitoring instruction and relevant public webpage content as described above.
- Dodo Payments, which will act as our payment and merchant-of-record provider when paid billing is enabled and will process purchases, subscriptions, taxes, refunds, and payment-related support.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that help us run, secure, and maintain the Service.
- Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business reorganization or transfer.
These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
PageBell currently uses essential cookies only. After you verify your email, an HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days unless you sign out earlier. It is used for security and account functionality, not advertising. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
7. Data retention
- A one-time preview save link expires after 48 hours. The related preview record may be retained for service operation, security, support, and account history until it is no longer reasonably needed or a valid deletion request is completed.
- Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and cannot be reused. Associated authentication records are retained briefly for rate limiting, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Customer sessions expire after 30 days and are deleted when you sign out or when expired-session cleanup runs.
- Account, monitor, check, communication, and subscription records are retained while needed to provide the Service and for reasonable security, dispute, tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
Retention periods may vary when the law requires a longer period, a dispute is pending, or records remain in securely maintained backups until they are overwritten.
8. Security
We use measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS, access controls, hashed authentication tokens and codes, and restricted server access. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You can pause or remove monitors from your account, sign out to end the current session, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your verified email address. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to know how personal information is used, receive a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, or appeal a request decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. Because PageBell does not sell personal information or share it for behavioral advertising, no sale or advertising opt-out is currently necessary.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. International processing
PageBell and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
12. Third-party webpages
The Service contains links to and retrieves content from websites operated by others. Their privacy practices are controlled by those website operators, not PageBell.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as PageBell changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material and applicable law requires it.
14. Contact us
For privacy questions or requests, email us at support@getpagebell.com. Please send requests from the email address associated with your PageBell account when possible.
